How do I enter a drug treatment without money, in the south, PA?
I'm in Kensington, Philadelphia, and I need a detoxification dual diagnosis for 30 days or more, I am addicted to opiates, and bipolar disorder w / anxiety. I in a detoxification program last week when my insurance lapsed. I am quite desperate, and soon to be homeless (Tuesday).
I live in PA too. Contact your local welfare office County (Department of Public Welfare). Any rehabilitation or establishment of detoxification can take steps to you. Being that you are dual diagnosis, like me, you can easily get into a facility treatment. Because you are unable to hold employment while in drug and alcohol treatment, Pennsylvania will automatically provide you with insurance necessary for treatment. I did it twice, so I'm sure you can too. You can either go online to find your county or DPA just look in the blue pages of your telephone directory. good luck!
