Websites designed to help people overcome their gambling addictions have recently been contacted by television producer members and journalists in order to obtain information on persons who have been affected by gambling addiction. In most cases, they are looking for people to introduce themselves and share how their lives have been impacted by local gambling establishments. In most of these cases, people are afraid of embarrassment family and friends and, therefore, are not willing to discuss how their lives have been affected.
I have recently been contacted by BET evening news. They asked for help to locate people who lived in a specific geographical area whose lives have been affected by gambling. Among the five people I found, all refused to discuss their situation or allow someone to talk with them for fear of recognition.

They allowed me to share their stories with others as long I assured them that their names be kept confidential. I shared some of these situations with journalists and producers associated with the hope that the message would reach the politicians.
A politician I spoke with said he was trying to pass a law that prevents people from using their cards credit to buy lottery tickets and scratch in the local stores. At first I thought it was a joke. People who want lottery tickets will get them with or without a credit card. Legislators need to see the bigger picture. Most people who live within sixty miles or less from gambling establishments, are negatively impacted.
ITA was about ten years since the casino opened in the State Connecticut. People spend most of their money there and not to local businesses and shopping centers. Legislators need to realize that casinos grow very rapidly in size because of the amount of money people lose. And the money gambled could have been used to stimulate our economy instead.
The truth is that political leaders like the revenue generated by casinos. This makes them look good to voters, because they donÂ't have to raise taxes. Do it up to political leaders that the economy is negatively affected? Based on my knowledge and experience in this field, I predict that within five years, the devastation caused by gambling establishments will be seen. This can be avoided if people are educated and given the fact that dependence on private.
Speaking with reporters, I also asked why donÂ't they disclose the direct relationship between the amount of growth in a casino and the amount of money that people lose in gambling. They have no answer. The media enjoys reporting to everyone that the only person who wins a million dollars. ITA this distorted view that sends people on the path of destruction with the hope to win big just once.
The operators in the games of chance are people very greedy. In some states, slots have been recently presented his as a way to attract the elderly and families low income. They believe that the slots allow everyone to play like those on social security and well-being and not just the wealthy. The truth is that they donÂ't care about who they hurt or how many lives are destroyed. One thing I learned is that all institutions Games are not discriminatory. If you have money, they will be happy to take it with a smile.
Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT ran a promotion in which they mailed out $ 50 dollar bills in an effort to bring people into the casino. In a week I heard more than fifteen people who actually used these vouchers but lost over a hundred to over a thousand dollars in one visit. The casinos know how to draw people in. In order to avoid the temptation problem gamblers were asked to be removed from the mailing list. Unfortunately, the gaming establishments donÂ't care and will still you send information, but just not as often. During the holidays, casinos mailed $ 400 and $ 100 dollars for vouchers to people use one gift shops located within their institution. Since the ITA holidays they know players buy gifts too, but once they get the player back into the casino, theyÂ're hooked again. Is he unhappy? Or was it just manipulation to get the player back?

Programs like these help a number of people every year, but there is a higher percentage that needs an alternative. These are people I'm trying to achieve.
